Essential Functions

The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end project management of new and existing client projects. The successful candidate is someone with a strong background in website project management that can work with all required business groups to plan, document, communicate and coordinate all project stakeholders. This position requires a passion for learning and delivering great products. He/she is an inspirational team leader.

Moreover, this is a leadership position which requires excellent communication and technical skills, coupled with the ability to lead mission critical projects across a range of clients using Agile methodology. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage change and thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities. This individual will report to the President.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Manage projects and initiatives from initial scope definition through implementation, including the conceptualization, design, and deployment
• Establish and maintain project communications
• Oversee project estimations and the development of project deliverables
• Execute and maintain processes to manage scope, issues, and action items throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify and manage project issues and ensure the team defines and achieves project quality and performance objectives
• Assess and manage risk over the project lifecycle
• Lead teams cross-departmentally
• Clarify and communicatey project objectives, including a detailed understanding of milestones, deliverables and success criteria
• Ensure the use of Agile best practices and applies lessons learned from previous projects
• Manage third-party partner and/or vendor relationships, as necessary
• Manage peer-level client relationships (expectations, communications internal and external, negotiations, escalation to senior management, and customer feedback)
• Provide day-to-day project contact for the team, management and stakeholder/customer
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of team tasks, projects, and individual assignments
• Ensure product/project documentation is maintained and up to client standards
• Maintain awareness of changing technology and make recommendations for integrating changes into current products
• Understand the benefits and constraints of multi-tiered software application development and the ability to assess the impact of technology issues to project deliverables; and ability to effectively communicate the same to product owners
• Create project plans and articulate high-level project deliverables to peers

Requirements/Qualifications:

• BS/MS or equivalent
• 5-10 years of experience managing Internet Projects
• 3-7 years of combined experience in application development, program / project management
• Leadership experience with web or wireless product / application development
• Experience in Web development technologies
• Experience with emerging technologies (widgets, mobile etc) preferred
• Proven technical and project management skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Experience leading cross-functional and virtual teams
• Solid facilitation and problem solving skills
• Ability to focus both strategically and tactically to achieve business goals
• Self-directed and the ability to work independently and manage communications up and down
• Excellent business and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proven track record of delivering projects
• Ability to mentor, work closely with others
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time as well as changing priorities
• Must be able to work independently
• Must possess effective time management skills
• Ability to collaborate with technology resources on projects given solid understanding of current internet technologies and trends

Desired Experience

• Agile (Scrum) experience.
• Content Management Systems, including; Ektron CMS400.net, Sitecore, Umbraco, Sharepoint
• Understanding of information architecture, useability, browser compliance, mobile platforms
