Foundation648 Launches ASA Website Re-design

Park Ridge, IL - October 1, 2010 - Foundation648 has launched the new American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) website ASAHQ.org. Working closely with ASA and their contracted consulting firms .orgSource (association web strategy) and Davis Design Partners (DDP - creative design), Foundation648 developed a comprehensive strategy to complete all tasks within ASA's aggressive timeline.

Work began immediately on conversion of the DDP artwork into cross-browser HTML / CSS templates using SEO best practices. Concurrent development began on implementing the Sitecore CMS system and customizing the parts of that system required for the website. This parallel development process ensured a quick transition from artwork to templates, to active site pages in the development environment.

Meetings were held weekly; Foundation648 encouraged an open collaborative atmosphere to ensure all stakeholder requirements were being met and adjustments being made actively during the development process. A bug tracking portal was set up so that active testing and feedback could be efficiently processed and tracked between the client, consultants, and the Foundation648 development team.

Foundation648 provided on-site training and support for ASA employees tasked with managing the new website with the Sitecore CMS software. Content entry was thus able to be efficiently processed during the development phase as parts of the site became complete.

This active, open collaborative approach ensured that Foundation648 met the required deadlines and all moving parts meshed together by the end of the development phase such that the site was deployed into production on time, on budget, and with the full approval of ASA on all deliverables.

Since its founding in 1905, the Society's achievements have made it an important voice in American Medicine and the foremost advocate for all patients who require anesthesia or relief from pain.
