Chicago Dental Society Website Launched Using Ektron 8.0
Chicago, IL - June 23, 2011 - Foundation648 is pleased
to announce the launch of the newly re-designed Chicago Dental
Society website, CDS.org. This new website leverages
the power of Ektron 8.0 as the underlying content
management system (CMS) which was custom engineered by
Foundation648 to specifically meet the CDS's needs. CDS contracted
the award-winning services of Davis Design Partners (DDP), who
created a fresh new design for the CDS site. In cooperation with
DDP, Foundation648 implemented this completely new design and user
interface on top of the Ektron architecture.
The new website features robust content editing capabilites via
Ektron's Page Builder Dynamic Templates. Also included is an online
merchandising and sales system utilizing the Ektron e-Commerce
system. The website has also been custom-integrated into CDS'
Association Management System. The new CDS.org also utilizes social
media capabilities such as integration with Facebook and Twitter,
along with RSS capabilities for members to keep track of the latest
news and events.
Foundation648 worked closely with CDS staff and personnel to
achieve maximum product satisfaction and complete integration of
the new website with their existing technology and to train all
involved on the use of the new system. "[Y]ou always came through
on every issue, no matter how miniscule", says Keri Kramer,
Director of Communications for CDS. "I also appreciate all the time
you gave generously to staff, myself included, as they learned the
ropes of the new system", she continued.
In addition to development and project management services,
